Relays are contact rated at 30A, and sealed for waterproof operation 10 second delay before switching On Avoid those pesky ignition errors, flickering/fluttering HID, and needless wear and tear on ballasts.
Not only suitable for HID, can be used in any 5 pin relay harness, like for the oil pump.
Pin lay-out:
30: Positive 12V feed power (from battery for example) 85: Negative / Ground 86: Positive 12V trigger to activate relay and timer (from headlight switch for example) 87: 10 second delayed output positive (Normally open) (to HID ballast for example) 87a: Normally closed and unused (12V positive when 12V on pin 86, power switched to pin 87 after 10S).
